What began as a friendship at school has developed over the years into a strong partnership – both in life and in business. Over all these years, we've shared countless moments together: We've laughed and cried, overcome challenges, celebrated successes, and, of course, taken vacations together. Vacations as soulmates and vacations with our families and four-legged friends.

Our expertise lies not only in selecting the best locations, but also in creating vacation homes that combine comfort, style, and functionality. Our company is more than just a passion project—it's the result of our shared vision! We design spaces that are much more than just a place to stay. "It was during school that we first noticed something was missing," Matthias recalls. "We were on a school trip and stayed in a vacation apartment – it was simply nothing special. Too old-fashioned, too uncomfortable, and somehow it lacked any real charm. We wondered why there wasn't anything that really excited us. A place where we would have immediately felt at home, that was cool, but still felt like home."

Ruben nods and adds: "Exactly, and that's something we've never forgotten over the years. We've had similar experiences on our travels. Most of the accommodations were functional, yes, but never something that made you say, 'I want to come back here again and again.' We wanted to create something different. Something that shines not only with comfort, but also with design and style."

"And at some point, we asked ourselves: Why not just build something ourselves?" says Matthias. "Why not create the vacation home we've always wanted? A place that's not only practical, but also full of character, one that leaves an unforgettable impression."

“That’s how we started,” adds Ruben.

"Our goal was clear: vacation apartments that offer everything—perfectly designed, stylish, and at the same time a place where everyone immediately feels welcome. And it was also clear to us that they should be pet-friendly, because we have dogs ourselves and know how important it is to integrate our four-legged friends."

"It was a lot of work, but also incredibly exciting," says Matthias. "We wanted to make everything as perfect as possible. A place you'd return to again and again. With a unique, instantly recognizable style. That was the moment Soulmates Resorts was born."

Ruben smiles: "Today, we're doing just that—creating vacation homes that don't just provide a roof over your head, but become an experience. We're proud that our vision is truly alive—and that our guests love this place just as much as we always dreamed."
