What began as a friendship at school has evolved over the years into a strong partnership – both in life and in business. Throughout all these years, we've shared countless moments: laughing and crying, overcoming challenges, celebrating successes, and of course, vacationing together. Vacations as soulmates and vacations with our families and four-legged friends.

Our expertise lies not only in selecting the best locations, but also in creating vacation rentals that combine comfort, style, and functionality. Our company is more than just a passion project – it's the result of our shared vision! We design spaces that are much more than just a place to sleep. We create environments where you don't just arrive, but feel at home – places that invite you to experience special moments you'll never forget.

“It was during our school days that we first realized something was missing,” Matthias recalls. “We were on a class trip and stayed in a holiday apartment – it was just nothing special. Too old-fashioned, too uncomfortable, and somehow it all lacked real charm. We wondered why there wasn’t anything that truly excited us. A place where we would have immediately felt at home, something cool, but still giving us that feeling of home.”

Ruben nods and adds: "Exactly, and that's something we've always kept in mind over the years. We've had similar experiences on our travels. Most accommodations were functional, yes, but never something where you say, 'I want to come back here again and again.' We wanted to create something different. Something that not only shines through comfort, but also through design and style."

“And at some point we asked ourselves: Why not just build something ourselves?” says Matthias. “Why not create the holiday apartment we’ve always wanted? A place that’s not just practical, but has character, that leaves an unforgettable impression.”

“That’s how we started,” Ruben adds.

"Our goal was clear: holiday apartments that offer everything – perfectly thought out, stylish and at the same time a place where everyone immediately feels welcome. And it was also clear to us that they should be pet-friendly, because we have dogs ourselves and know how important it is to integrate the four-legged friends as well."

“It was a lot of work, but also incredibly exciting,” says Matthias. “We wanted to make everything as perfect as possible. A place you would always return to. With a unique style that you would instantly recognize. That was the moment Soulmates Resorts was born.”

Ruben smiles: “Today we are doing exactly that – creating holiday apartments that not only offer a roof over your head, but become an experience. We are proud that our vision is truly alive – and that our guests love this place just as much as we always hoped it would.”
